At Simpson's we have our own qualified trainer who assesses skills needs of all our operatives at all levels on an on-going basis to continually increase their skills, and co-ordinates and carries out training in-house. We are an approved centre for General Construction NVQ Level 2, actively encouraging and supporting our employees to gain qualifications. All our operatives work to achieve their CSCS card. A purpose built conference/lecture room at our premises and an external practical training area enable us to provide even more opportunities for our employees training.   We ensure that our Site Supervisors, responsible for on-site operative teams, are experienced and skilled in many aspects of civil engineering, including: concreting, tarmac laying, excavating and shoring, kerb laying, brickwork and blockwork, drain laying, as well as in supervisory skills. We ensure that they are experienced and qualified in numerous skills, including: excavator and dumper driving, abrasive wheels, road and street works, Yorkshire Water blue card, Anglian Water green card, first aid, and in confined space working. We also have qualified Confined Space Entry and Rescue teams.   The knowledge and skills of our supporting team of Managing Director, Contracts Managers, Site Engineer, Estimator, Purchaser, Trainer, Accounts staff, and Reception, are also updated regularly through relevant work related and professional skills courses.   Simpson welcome enquiries from potential additions to our workforce.   Click here for an APPLICATION FORM.
